Mr Nigel Costa Frias, and Mr Savio Misquitta, Advocates for the

Mr Prashil Arolkar, Additional Government Advocate for the Respondent
nos. 1 to 3-State.

                    CORAM:- SUMAN SHYAM &
                            AMIT S. JAMSANDEKAR, JJ.

DATED :- 15th January, 2026

P.C.

This Contempt Petition is filed alleging wilful disobedience of the directions contained in the Judgment and Order dated 02.01.2025, passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 2459/2024/F.

2. During the pendency of the Contempt Petition, a representation of the Petitioner has been disposed of by Order dated 06.01.2026, whereby the grievance of the Petitioner has been redressed. However, the Petitioner's Counsel submits that even after accepting that the Deputation allowance for the period from 21.04.2022 to 23.11.2023 is payable to the Petitioner, instead of issuing a direction to release the amount, it has been mentioned that the Applicant must take necessary

follow-up action, which is not in compliance with the order dated 02.01.2025 passed by this Court.

3. Learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the Respondents, on the other hand, submits that since the Petitioner's claim is now pending with the Goa IDC, the present Respondents cannot have any direct involvement in the matter. Rather, they would render necessary support to the Petitioner.

4. In view of the above, this Contempt Petition case stands closed by providing that the Petitioner would be at liberty to make a claim before the concerned authority i.e. Goa IDC, for release of the Deputation allowances in terms of the Order dated 06.01.2026 passed by the Chief Town Planner.
