By this petition, the petitioner claims that the respondent had committed contempt of a direction issued by this Court in its judgment and order dated 21.11.2019, inasmuch as the caste verification of caste claim of the petitioner was to be decided by the Scrutiny Committee in a time bound manner.

2. Upon notice being issued, the learned AGP has appeared for respondent No.1 and handed over an affidavit alongwith a document, the same is taken on record. By relying upon the said affidavit, it is brought to the notice of this Court that by order dated 26.11.2021, the Scrutiny Committee has indeed considered and disposed of the proposal pertaining to verification of caste claim of the petitioner.

3. In view of the aforesaid order dated 26.11.2021 passed by the Scrutiny Committee, this Court is of the opinion

that there has been substantial compliance with the directions of the Court and nothing survives in this petition.

4. Hence, the contempt petition is disposed of as such.
