By instituting this writ petition, the General Manager, Western Railway seeks permission of the Court to remove 25,438 mangroves for the purpose of construction of a railway line, in terms of the judgment and order dated 17 th September 2018 passed by a coordinate Bench of this Court in Public Interest Litigation No. 87 of 2006.

2. The Bombay Environment Action Group is represented by Ms. Shah, learned advocate.

3. Let reply-affidavit be filed by two (2) weeks from date; rejoinder thereto, if any, may be filed by a week thereafter.
