By the judgment dated 18.12.2021 the respondents were directed to pay the arrears of pay pursuant to revision of pay scale as per the notification dated 07.10.2009. 50% of the amount of arrears were to be paid within a period of two months from the date of judgment and the remaining 50% of arrears were to be paid within further period of two months. It had also been stipulated that failure to comply with these directions would entitle the employees to interest at the rate of 6% per annum.

In the application, it has been stated that permission from Law and Judiciary Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai was being sought and matter is pending at that stage. Considering the fact that the writ petition was disposed of on 18.12.2021, the time to comply the aforesaid directions is extended by the period of two months from today. 50% amount of arrears shall be paid within a period of two months in terms of the aforesaid judgment while remaining 50% of arrears shall be paid within further period of two

months. All other directions in the judgment shall continue to operate. The civil application is disposed of.
