PER COURT :
Mr.Savant, learned counsel for petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner died in the year 1988. The petitioner is entitled for appointment on compassionate ground. The married daughter is also eligible for appointment on compassionate ground.
2] It appears that the step mother of the petitioner was given appointment on compassionate ground in the place of father of the petitioner. The purpose of appointment on compassionate ground is to provide immediate succor to the family of the deceased dying in harness.
3] Considering the fact that the appointment of second person from the family has been claimed, it would not be possible to accept the contention of the petitioner.
4] Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
