At the time of hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submitted that due to stay granted by this Court, investigation could not be completed.

Even if stay was granted, in view of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Asian Resurfacing of Road Agency Private Limited and Another v. Central Bureau of (2018) 16 SCC 299, stay is automatically vacated after six months and the same is not in force. The concerned Station House Officer is directed to proceed with the investigation expeditiously and file a final report on or before 09.10.2023.
