The petitioners/proposed respondents
herein seek to come on record to compound the offence with the accused under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioners/proposed respondents herein are no other than the legal representatives of the deceased.
Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code is compoundable in view of the State amendment, subject to the stipulations in the relevant provision about the waiting period, etc.
Under the circumstances, I.A.Nos.3 and 5 of 2023 are allowed, permitting the petitioners/proposed respondents to come on record.
The Registry is directed to carry out necessary amendments to the cause title.

The petitioners/proposed respondents, who are impleaded, are present. Accused is also present.
The challenge in the judgment is made under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code, under which the petitioner was convicted as per the judgment of the Appellate Court, which is compoundable now.
In view of the provisions under Section 320(2) of the Cr.P.C., as to the waiting period, list the matter immediately after three months (90 days) for recording the compromise, if the parties are going to stick to it.
