In view of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Arnab Manoranjan Goswami vs. State of Maharashtra & Ors., reported in (2021) 2 SCC 427, this Court has the power to consider release of an arrested accused during the pendency of a petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C.

Accordingly, office objection is over ruled and Registry is directed to number the criminal petition subject to other requirements being fulfilled.
