1. Heard Sri Prashant Shukla, learned counsel for the petitioners and Sri Pankaj Srivastava, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel through video conferencing.

The present writ petition has been preferred for directing the Uttar Pradesh Police Services Recruitment and Promotion Board to do the document verification of the petitioners as qualified and eligible, and the petitioners also be allowed to go through further process of recruitment as contemplated under Rule 17 of the Uttar Pradesh Police Ministerial, Accounts, Confidential Assistant Cadres Service (First Amendment) Rules, 2016.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners were denied to participate any further in the selection on the ground that the petitioners are not having requisite qualification i.e. 'O' Level certificate in Computer Science. Some of the petitioners are degree holders and they hold the degree of B.C.A./B.Tech. The 'O' Level Computer Course is a part of the curriculum of the petitioners' degree courses. It is further submitted that the same controversy had come before this Court earlier by means of writ petitions the leading being Writ Petition No.20385 (S/S) of 2019; Aakash Verma And 332 Ors. Vs. State of U.P. and Ors, and this Court vide its judgement and order dated 26.03.2021 has allowed the writ petitions. The case of the petitioners is squarely covered by this judgement and the petitioners are also entitled for the benefit of the said judgement.

4. Sri Pankaj Srivastava, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel very fairly stated that the case of the petitioners is squarely covered by the judgement of this court dated 26.03.2021. The matter may be decided in terms of the judgment dated 26.03.2021.

5. For the reasons mentioned hereinabove, the writ petition is allowed at the admission stage. It is directed that the petitioners of this petition shall also be given the benefit of the judgement and order dated 26.03.2021 passed in Writ Petition No.20385 of 2019; Aakash Verma And 332 Ors. Vs. State of U.P. And Ors, in terms thereof.
