The case is taken up through Video Conferencing.

Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for State-respondents.

Learned counsel for petitioners states that the controversy has been settled by judgment dated 26.03.2021 passed in Writ Petition No.20385 (S/S) of 2019; Aakash Verma and 332 others vs. State of U.P. and others. Thus he claims that he is also entitled to the same benefit as is granted to the petitioners in the said writ petition.

Learned Standing Counsel submits that it is not clear at present as to whether petitioners stands on the same footing or not and the said aspect of the matter is required to be looked into.

Looking into the facts and circumstances of the case, petitioners are permitted to make a fresh representation before respondent No.2, Secretary, U.P. Police Recruitment and Promotions Board, Lucknow, raising all their grievances, annexing therewith a printout copy of this order as well as a copy of the aforesaid judgment passed in writ petition No.20385 (S/S) of 2019 within a period of two weeks from today.

In case such a representation is moved by petitioners, respondent No.2 shall look into the applicability of the said judgment upon the petitioners and passed appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date a printout copy of this order along with representation is placed before him.

It is made clear that this court has not applied itself on the merits of the case and all questions are left open to be considered and decided by the competent authority in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
