Heard Sri Shiv Pravesh Dhar Dubey, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Sanjay Sareen, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has prayed that grievance of the petitioner be redressed in the light of the judgment of Hon'ble Apex Court dated 02.09.2019 in re; Prem Singh Vs. State of U.P. and others, (Civil Appeal No.6798 of 2019 and other connected matters). He has also submitted that the petitioner has preferred representations dated 15.6.2020 (Annexure Nos.4 & 5 to the writ petition) to the Principal Secretary, Irrigation Department, Government of U.P., Lucknow and Engineer-in-Chief, Irrigation Department, U.P., Lucknow but no action has been taken on the same. He has confined his prayer for disposal of the aforesaid representations at the earliest.

Learned counsel for the opposite parties has no objection if direction for disposal of the representation is issued.

Therefore, without entering into merit of the issue, the Principal Secretary (Irrigation), U.P., Lucknow is hereby directed to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 15.6.2020, which is contained in Annexure No.5 to the writ petition, strictly in accordance with law, by speaking and reasoned order, with expedition, say within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and thereafter communicate the decision thereof to the petitioner forthwith.

In the aforesaid terms, the writ petition is disposed of finally.
