The applicant has preferred the present contempt application for non-compliance of the final judgment and order dated 31.08.2020 passed in Writ (C) No.12922 of 2020 (Mohd. Yunus Ansari Vs. Union of India & others). Pursuant to the order passed in the present contempt application, a counter affidavit has been filed by the opposite party.

Today when the matter was taken up, a photocopy of the order dated 22.03.2021 passed by the Senior Superintendent, Regional Passport Office, Lucknow was placed before this Court, by which the application for grant of passport of the applicant has been rejected. The same is taken on record.

In view of the same, no further orders are required to be passed in the present contempt application. The contempt application has become infructuous. Accordingly, the contempt application is dismissed as having become infructuous.

In case, the applicant is still aggrieved against the order dated 22.03.2021, he is free to take legal recourse by approaching the concerned authority for redressal of his grievance in accordance with law.
