Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the court below to decide Rent Case No. 7 of 2020 (Sewak Ram and others vs. Ram Saran) within a stipulated time.
Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition at this stage stands disposed of with a direction to the court below for expeditious disposal of the case in the light of Rule 15 (3) of the Rules framed under Act 13 of 1972, which shall be considered and decided sympathetically in the light of the judgment of the Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of Hameed Kunju vs. Nazim 2017 (8) SCC 611 in which it has been observed that the object of the rent laws all over the State is to ensure speedy disposal of eviction cases between the landlord and tenant and especially those cases where the landlord seek eviction for his bona fide need, as expeditiously as possible, in accordance with law and thereafter the Court may proceed accordingly.
No costs.
