Order on Correction Application No. 85539 of 2021

This application has been moved on behalf of the revisionist for making correction in the judgment dated 20.07.2021 passed by this Court.

It has been submitted that in the judgment dated 20.07.2021, mistakenly Section 7/8 of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (in short "POCSO Act") has been added in place of Section 376 IPC, that may be corrected.

Perused the record as well as judgment dated 20.07.2021.

It appears that inadvertently in the judgment, Section 7/8 POCSO Act has been added while Section 376 IPC has been left out.

The correction application is allowed and the judgment dated 20.07.2021 is corrected as follows:-

"In the 1st and 19th paragraph of the judgment, Section 7/8 of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (in short "POCSO Act") be deleted and Section 376 IPC be added after Section 506 I.P.C."

Necessary corrections have been made in the hard copy of the judgment dated 20.07.2021.

This order shall be treated as part of judgment dated 20.07.2021.

Office is directed to issue corrected copy of the judgment dated 20.07.2021 accordingly.
