Connect this petition with Writ Petition No. 24776 of 2014 (Banke Lal Chaubey Vs. State of U.P. & others).

By means of this writ petition the petitioner has challenged the order stated to have been passed under Section 20 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.

According to the petitioner, certain amount has been awarded but the interest thereon has not been awarded as also the penalty has not been imposed upon the employer for which he is legally entitled. Although principal amount has been accepted by the petitioner yet his right to receive interest and imposition of penalty upon the employer has not been considered.

Learned Standing Counsel represents respondents no.1 and 2.

Issue notice to respondents no.3 and 4 returnable at an early date.

The petitioner shall take steps for service of notice upon respondents no.3 and 4 within a week.

The respondents may file counter affidavit within one month.

List thereafter.
