None responds for the petitioners to press this writ petition.
By means of instant writ petition the petitioners have prayed for direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to release the amount of compensation with compound interest in favour of the petitioner forthwith.
Learned Standing Counsel has filed counter affidavit in which in paragraph 5 it has been stated that the amount of compensation amounting to rs. 9047/- has already been paid to the farmer/ land owner i.e. Shri ram Manohar vide Cheque No. 13109/02 dated 26.7.1989 and no other land was acquired therefore the question of payment of compensation does not arise, as such the writ petition has rendered infructuous.
Accordingly the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
