This petition seeks initiation of proceedings under the Contempt of Courts' Act 1971 against the respondent-contemner for willful disobedience of judgment dated 04.1.2013 rendered in Writ Petition No.1753(SS) of 2012, Ramendra Pratap Singh v. state of U.P. & ors. (Annexure-8), read with order dated 08.3.2013 rendered in Special Appeal No.141 of 2013 (Annexure-1).

Issue notice to respondent-contemner, returnable on 13.9.2013.

Sri S.A. Sabih, learned State Counsel, accepts notices on behalf of respondents-contemner, and prays for time to file counter affidavit/affidavit of compliance.

List on 13.9.2013.

Let counter affidavit be filed by the next date of listing.

It is made clear that in case the counter affidavit/affidavit of compliance is not filed before the next date of listing, costs amounting to Rs.5000/- (five thousand only) shall be imposed.

It is further made clear that in case the order is not complied with, the respondent-contemner shall be required to show cause as to why proceedings under the Contempt of Courts' Act be not initiated against him.
