Shri A.K. Goyal appearing for the University of Allahabad had produced the record of selections. The record includes copy of proceedings of the Selection Committee, NET certificates of petitioner & respondent no. 6, attendant sheet, comparison chart, and the precis sent by Department of Home Science.

Shri A.K. Goyal informs the Court that Shri J.N. Mishra, the Registrar was not a member of  the Selection Committee. The Registrar is a Member Secretary of the Selection Committee but that he had  recused himself, and that in his place Shri R.S. Rastogi, Deputy Registrar (Faculty), University of Allahabad had participated in the proceedings.

We have perused the documents produced by Shri A.K. Goyal. These documents do not show the method adopted by the Selection Committee to recommend three, out of eight candidates, and the manner, in which the respective merit was considered. The criteria, which the Selection Committee may have adopted for selections has not been disclosed.

Shri A.K. Goyal appearing for the petitioner prays for impleading the other two recommended candidates, who have also been appointed as guest faculty for teaching in the department.

Shri A.K. Goyal will file counter affidavit within two weeks. The petitioner will have three days thereafter to file rejoinder affidavit.
