About the Organisation
Hamari Pahchan NGO is a Delhi-based non-governmental organization committed to social justice, women empowerment, education, and health-related advocacy. Through its various initiatives and volunteer-driven projects, the NGO works to uplift marginalized communities and create meaningful change by blending legal awareness with on-ground activism.
About the Internship
This one-month online legal internship is designed for law students who aspire to bridge the gap between legal knowledge and real-world application. Interns will explore the practical dimensions of legal advocacy by working on socially relevant issues such as education, malnutrition, menstrual hygiene, and elderly care. The internship fosters a sense of legal responsibility and enhances community engagement through rights-based awareness and policy research.
Eligibility
- Students currently pursuing LL.B. (3-year) or B.A. LL.B./B.B.A. LL.B. (5-year integrated) courses.
- Open to law students from all years.
- Must have good communication, research, and writing skills.
- A strong interest in public interest law, human rights, and community service is desirable.
Responsibilities
Interns will be required to:
- Research legal and policy frameworks relating to social justice causes.
- Draft legal awareness materials such as pamphlets, posters, and digital content.
- Prepare campaign content and lead digital fundraisers.
- Monitor legal developments and suggest policy reforms.
- Contribute to the NGO’s pro bono lawyer network and outreach strategies.
- Create educational videos or short reels to raise legal awareness among the public.
- Learn to file RTIs and develop advocacy reports related to selected causes.
Duration
One month – For the month of January and February, 2026.
Stipend
This is an unpaid internship. However, performance-based appreciation such as a Letter of Recommendation (LOR) and Hamari Pahchan merchandise will be awarded to top-performing interns.
