Policy Lab on Labour & Gender – An Initiative by Saakhi is a research and policy action lab based in Odisha, advancing gender-just labour systems through evidence-led research and policy engagement.
About the Opportunity
This internship is designed to support the co-founders of the Policy Lab on Labour & Gender (Saakhi) in drafting training modules on critical legal issues. These modules are intended for awareness-building and capacity development initiatives.
Areas of Work
- POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) laws
- Property and inheritance rights of women
- Anti-domestic violence law
- Research, writing, and development of structured training material
Eligibility Criteria
- Students in 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of law school
- Demonstrable interest in research and writing (blog posts, publications, presentations, etc.)
- Strong engagement with issues of gender justice, labour, and rights-based frameworks
- We particularly encourage law students belonging to disadvantageous socio-economic background based out of Odisha and neighbouring states to apply
