Tragedy struck the family of an Advocate, when their car plunged into the SRSP canal leaving 3 family members dead, while one managed to swim to safety. The shocking incident happened in the early hours of Monday near Medipally village.
The Lawyer, Katkurwar Amarendar Rao, his wife Shirish’s, daughter Shreya & son Jayanth were on their way to Joginipali temple.
As the vehicle was crossing the SRSP canal, Amarender Rao seems to have lost control & the car rammed into the railing & plunged into the canal near Katlekunta of Medipalli mandal.
While Amarender Rao, Sherisha & Sreya drowned, Jayanth managed to save himself & called for help. Police rushed to the place & launched a rescue operation, but could only retrieve the bodies.
A resident of Housingboard colony in Jagitial, Amarender Rao is a close relative of local MLA Dr Sanjay. He is working along with a Senior Lawyer Hanumantha Rao, who is the father of Sanjay.
After coming to know about the incident, MLA Sanjay visited the spot.
