Justice JR Midha, former Delhi High Court Judge  has joined National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) as Professor of Practice. He had earlier joined Galgotias University as Professor after retiring in 2021 from the Delhi High Court.

The Website announcement mentioned, " We are honoured to announce that Hon’ble Mr. Justice J.R. Midha, Former Judge, Delhi High Court, is joining NLU Delhi as Professor of Practice. The University will benefit immensely with his expertise and experience in building research & academic capacity." 

During his 26 years of Practice he had also taught at Campus Law Centre of the Faculty of Law, Delhi University where he gave lectures pertaining to Code of Civil Procedure, Indian Evidence Act, Transfer of Property Act, Delhi Rent Control Act, Limitation Act, Arbitration Act, Motor Vehicles Act, Court Fees Act, Suit Valuation Act, Indian Registration Act and Indian Stamp Act.

Before him, other High Court and Supreme Court Judges had started teaching in Law Schools after their tenure as Judges got over. This includes  Former Chief Justice of India UU Lalit ( Jindal Global Law School ) , Former Supreme Court Judge Justice Kumar ( Jindal Global Law School) and Justice  Indira Banerjee joined (NUJS Kolkata) among others.
