About the Blogs

Nyayadeep Shiksha invites contributions from legal scholars, practitioners, students, and researchers to submit original, well-researched blog posts for publication on our platform. This is a crucial opportunity to engage in contemporary legal discourse, analyse recent judicial developments, and share critical perspectives on the dynamic landscape of law and justice.

General Requirements

  • Originality: All submissions must be original and previously unpublished content. Simultaneous submissions (submitting the same piece to multiple publications at once) are not permitted.
  • Focus: Content must be highly relevant to law, legal issues, jurisprudence, legal technology, or current legal affairs. Submissions should offer insightful analysis, practical commentary, or clear explanations of complex legal topics.
  • Target Audience: The tone should be professional yet accessible. While our primary audience is legal professionals (lawyers, academics, students), submissions should also be engaging for a general audience interested in law. Avoid excessive jargon without explanation.
  • Objectivity & Accuracy: Submissions must maintain a high degree of accuracy and objectivity. All legal claims, facts, and citations must be thoroughly verified. Opinion pieces are welcome but should be clearly distinguishable and well-supported by legal reasoning.
  • Plagiarism: Submissions must not exceed a 10% similarity index (excluding quotes and references) as per standard plagiarism checks. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be desk-rejected.
  • Tone & Style: Maintain a professional, articulate, and respectful tone. Submissions should be free from personal attacks, inflammatory language, or biased political commentary not directly tied to a legal analysis.

Format & Length

  • Length: Blog posts should generally be between 800 and 1,200 words. We prioritize quality over quantity; concise, well-argued pieces are preferred.
  • Structure: Use clear headings, subheadings, and bullet points to enhance readability. The post should have a compelling introduction, a well-developed body, and a clear conclusion.
  • Citations: All sources (statutes, case law, articles) must be properly cited using the OSCOLA (Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities) citation style. All sources (statutes, case law, articles, news reports) must be properly hyperlinked within the text. Only use high-quality, reputable sources.
  • File Format: Submissions should be sent as a Microsoft Word (.docx) attachment. Please do not submit PDFs or links to Google Docs.

Submission & Review Process

  • What to Send: Email your submission publicationsnyaaydeep@gmail.com with the subject line: “Blog Submission: [Proposed Title of Blog]”. The email should include:
