About CLLR

The Centre for Labour Law and Research (CLLR), established at National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi, is dedicated to promoting academic research, policy engagement, and informed discourse in the field of labour and employment law.

The Centre seeks to examine contemporary developments in labour regulation, industrial relations, workers’ rights, social security, and the evolving world of work through interdisciplinary and research-oriented initiatives.

The Blog of the Centre for Labour Law and Research (CLLR), NUSRL, serves as a platform for fostering academic discourse, policy engagement, and critical analysis of contemporary issues relating to labour and employment law. The Blog encourages contributions that examine legal, social, economic, and regulatory dimensions of labour governance while remaining accessible, analytical, and research-driven.

Call for Submission

The CLLR Blog invites original and unpublished submissions from students, researchers, academicians, legal practitioners, policymakers, trade union representatives, industry professionals, and all individuals interested in labour law and allied disciplines.

Eligibility

Contributions are welcome from students, academicians, researchers, legal practitioners, policymakers, trade union representatives, industry professionals, and others interested in labour law and related disciplines.

Submissions may be made on the following themes, among others:

  • Jharkhand-Specific Themes
    Distress Migration and Inter-State Welfare Coordination
    Occupational Health and Contractual Labour in Mining
    Tribal Livelihoods, Forest Rights, and Labour Protection
    Human Trafficking and Rights of Domestic Workers
    Minimum Wage Enforcement in Resource-Rich States
    Just Transition and Mine Closures: Worker Rehabilitation
    Labour Law Administration in Schedule V Areas
  • Contemporary and General Themes
    Implementation of New Labour Codes and Reforms
    Regulating Gig and Platform Worker Rights
    AI, Automation, and Algorithmic Management
    POSH Act Compliance and Workplace Safety
    Disability Rights and Reasonable Accommodation
    Collective Bargaining and the Future of Trade Unions
    Legal Dynamics of Remote and Hybrid Work
    ESG Compliance and Business & Human Rights

Interdisciplinary submissions exploring the intersection of labour law with economics, sociology, public policy, technology, management, and human rights are particularly encouraged.

Submission Requirements

  • Submissions must be original and unpublished.
  • Manuscripts should not be under consideration with any other journal, blog, website, or publication platform at the time of submission.
  • Authors must properly acknowledge all sources used.
  • Any form of plagiarism or unethical academic conduct shall result in rejection.

Formatting Guidelines

  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Alignment: Justified
  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides
  • Subheadings should be clearly identified and appropriately numbered where necessary.

How to Submit?

  • Authors are required to submit their manuscripts via email at cllr@nusrlranchi.ac.in.
  • The subject line of the email should be formatted as: “Submission for CLLR Blog – [Title of Manuscript]”
  • In the body of the email, authors must include a brief author biography, a valid contact number, and the name of their affiliated college or university.
