- Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called U.P. Excise (Price of Foreign Liquor) Rules, 1982.
(2) They shall come into force with immediate effect.
- Regulating wholesale of foreign liquor.- The foreign liquor other than denatured spirit, rectified spirit, absolute alcohol and beer will be sold by wholesale in Uttar Pradesh to F.L. 5, F.L. 6, F.L. 7 or F.L. 7-B licensees on a price not below rupees twenty-eight and paisa sixty-five (Rs. 28.65) only per quart bottle. The price will be- exclusive of the cost of the foreign liquor charged by the bonder and the sales tax thereon.
- The beer (foreign liquor) will be sold by wholesale in Uttar Pradesh to the licensees mentioned in Rule 2 above on a price not below rupees two and paise fifty (Rs. 2.50) only per quart bottle of 650 ml. This price will be exclusive of the cost of the foreign liquor (beer charged by the bonder and the sales tax thereon).
