In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 79 (c) of the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948, the U.P. State Electricity Board hereby makes the following regulations relating to maximum age limit for the direct recruitment in respect of general category candidates in various services in the Board :

1. Short title and commencement.- These regulations may be called the Uttar Pradesh State Electricity Board Recruitment to the Services (Age Limit) Regulations, 1990.
2. They shall come into force at once.
3. The upper age limit for direct recruitment in respect of general category candidates to all services and posts under the regulation making powers of this Board for which the upper age limit is less than thirty years shall be thirty years.
4. Overriding effect of regulation.- Notwithstanding anything contrary contained in any service regulations, these regulations shall have overriding effect.
