An Act to amend the Indian Forest Act, 1927, in its application to East Punjab.
Whereas it is expedient to amend the Indian Forest Act, 1927, in its application to East Punjab, in the manner hereinafter appearing, it is hereby enacted as follows:-
- Short title and extent.- (1) This Act may be called The Indian Forest (East Punjab Amendment) Act, 1948.
(2) It extends to the whole of [Punjab]

- Amendment of Sections 52, 53 and 55 of Act, XVI of 1927.- The Indian Forest Act, 1927, shall, in application to [Punjab], be amended as follows:-
In sections 52, 53 and 55 of the said Act, for the word "carts", wherever it occurs, the word "vehicle" shall be substituted.
