An Act further to amend the Indian Registration Act, 1908, in its application to the State of Maharashtra.

Whereas it is expedient further to amend the Indian Registration Act, 1908, in its application to the State of Maharashtra, for the purpose hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted in the Eleventh Year of the Republic of India as follows :-

Short title.- This Act may be called the Indian Registration (Maharashtra Amendment) Act, 1960.
Amendment of section 17 of Act XVI of 1908.- In section 17 of the Indian Registration Act, 1908, in sub-section (2), in clause (x),-

(a) after the words and figures 'Agriculturists Loans Act, 1884" the following shall be inserted, namely :-

"or under the Bombay Non-Agriculturists' Loans Act, 1928,".

(b) for the words "under that Act" the words "under either of those Acts" shall be substituted.
