Notification No. PEM.98/87/93, dated the 11th September, 1989. - The Governor of Assam is pleased to make the following amendments in the Assam Geology and Mining (Recruitment and conditions of Service) Order, 1988 which were made vide this Department's Notification No. PEM. 98/87/77 of 3rd December, 1988.
- Title and commencement.- (1) These orders shall be called the Assam Geology and Mining (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) (Amendment) Order, 1989.
(2) These orders shall come into force with immediate effect.
- Amendment to para 5.- (1) In sub-para (7) of para 5 of the existing Executive Order, the words "minimum of five years of service experience" may be substituted by the words "minimum of 10 years of service experience".
- In para 5 of the Executive Order, a new sub-para (8) may be inserted in place of the existing one as follows :
(8) Senior Chemist-The cadre of Senior Chemist shall be filled up by promotion from amongst Chemists who have rendered minimum of 5 years service in the cadre of Chemist.
- Existing sub-para (8) of para 5 of the Executive Order may be re-numbered as (9) and substituted as follows:-
(9) Chemist-Sixty per cent of the posts in the cadre of Chemist shall be filled up by promotion from amongst Assistant Chemist having graduation in the discipline of Chemistry and also having rendered at least 5 years of service in the cadre of Assistant Chemist. Forty per cent of the posts in the cadre of Chemist shall be filled up by direct recruitment from amongst candidates having post-Graduate Degree in Chemistry from any University recognised by the Government.
- Sub-para (9) and (10) of para 5 of the existing Executive Order may be re-numbered as (10) and (11) respectively.
