SVKM’s Pravin Gandhi College of Law (PGCL) (5 – Year Course) was established in the year 2004 and is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. This institution aims at giving students exposure to experiential learning in the varied fields of law along with the essence of justice being imparted in its truest sense.
PGCL is an institution that reckons in creating and curating a generation of lawyers that pioneer groundbreaking changes in the legal labyrinth.
The institution does not believe in molding students into a defined structure but rather let them explore the multifarious magnitudes of their minds and expand their potentials beyond the horizons.
It relentlessly works towards manifesting an idiosyncratic and holistic ambience that champions innovative and ingenious teaching methods to the ever curious and critical legal minds.
The Moot Court Society (MCS) of PGCL believes in its motto: Improvidus, Apto, Quod Victum which translates to Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome. The raison d’être of MCS is to inculcate the values of effective oral advocacy and legal drafting, thereby sharpening students’ acumen for the legal profession.
MCS was established with the objective of fostering the spirit of mooting among students by providing diverse opportunities for participation while addressing evolving legal exigencies.
The Society organizes a range of events at both national and international levels to promote legal awareness and nurture proficient legal professionals.
With the panoramic vision of greatness and a longer way ahead, MCS is all set to explore the seas with its voyage to promote justice which shall bring the S.A.A.R.C. nations together once again for a cause of righteousness and sense of responsibility for posterity.
SVKM’s Pravin Gandhi College of Law, hosts its online moot, the S.A.A.R.C. International Moot Court Competition (SAARC IMMC).
