The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab, was established by the State Legislature of Punjab by passing the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, 2006 (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006).
The Act incorporated a University of Law of national stature in Punjab, to fulfill the need for a Centre of Excellence in legal education in the modern era of globalization and liberalization. RGNUL started functioning from its Headquarters-Mohindra Kothi, The Mall, Patiala w.e.f. 26 May 2006.
Post & Positions: Research Associates (1) and Field Investigator (6).
The Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab invites applications from eligible candidates for the positions of Research Associate, Research Assistant and Field Investigator on a contractual basis.
The engagement of the Research Associates and Research Assistants shall be full-time for a period of six months. The engagement of the Field Investigator shall be full-time for a period of three months.
Project Ability Empowerment is a nationwide initiative mandated by the Supreme Court of India to monitor and assess the implementation of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016, across all care institutions for persons with cognitive disabilities. Led by eight National Law Universities, the project undertakes comprehensive research to evaluate legal, constitutional, and infrastructural adherence concerning autonomy, inclusion, and dignity for persons with disabilities.
RGNUL Punjab’s mandate covers the State of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Leh, Jammu and Kashmir. The research will be a comprehensive monitoring and data collation exercise that goes beyond just the physical and infrastructural conditions of the institutions. It aims to assess the extent to which these institutions adhere to the broader legal and constitutional commitments of autonomy, inclusion, and dignity for persons with disabilities.
*Qualification/Experience maybe exempted as per Policy Decision** time period may be extended in case of need.
