Pakistan's Supreme Court disqualifies Former CM Nawaz Sharif from holding office for Life

April 13,2018:

On Friday, Pakistan's Supreme Court disqualified Former PM Nawaz Sharif from holding the office for life in a landmark verdict that will change course of Country's political history.

Verdict was delivered unanimously by a five-judge bench of the top court.

Sharif was disqualified under Article 62(1)(f) of Constitution according to which he will be unable to contest the elections for the rest of his life.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Leader Jahangir Tareen was among the other lawmakers also disqualified under the said Article.
