SAM founds replacement of Tax & GST Partner Chilana in EY Executive Director Rajat Bose

Following the departure of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) Delhi tax & GST Partner Sandeep Chilana for independent practice, SAM has now found his replacement in EY Executive Director of indirect tax Rajat Bose.

He has joined as a partner in Delhi. He specializes in indirect tax, GST, VAT, customs & international trade.

He had re-joined EY in 2015, after two-odd years outside the Big 4 consultancy as co-founding partner of Reina Law in 2012.

He is 2006 ILS Pune law graduate. He had begun his career at Zeus Law Associates, following by KPMG in 2007 and his first stint at EY in 2009.

Chilana had planned his exit from SAM for several months, with his handover from SAM to independent practice having been staggered up to Jan 2019.

His addition as partner takes the total size of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas to 110.

As per SAM press release, Managing Partner Pallavi Shroff said, “The implementation of GST has created both opportunities and challenges for our clients and with a new partner on board we will be in a stronger position to help clients navigate complex tax and regulatory landscape.”
