AZB Mumbai Corporate Partner Dhruv Singhal, who had joined the firm with Ashwath Rau from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) in 2016, is set to leave the firm.

It is understood from market sources that he has several offers of places to join, but no firm decision has been made yet.

The 2007 NLSIU Bangalore Graduate had begun his career at erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas and specialises in cross-border M&A and private equity work.

He had moved into Rau’s team at Amarchand in 2014. Mumbai's Managing Partner Zia Mody said she wished him well.

Rau said he echoed her sentiments, “He’s a good guy and I wish him all the best and hope he succeeds wherever he goes. It’s been a five-year journey [with Singhal] and I hope it all works out for him.” With Singhal, Rau’s core team had consisted of six partners."

Singhal confirmed his leaving but he didn't comment.
