Modi Govt. decides to Pay 7th Commission Arrears in one installment with salary in August 2016

Now increments would be added on 1st January and 1st July of every year.

Today the Modi Government has decided that arrears of 7th Pay Commission shall be paid in cash in only one installment with the payment of salaries for the month of August, 2016.

In order to expedite disbursement of arrears it is decided that arrears would be be paid without any pre-check of fixation of pay scales in revised scales of pay.

However the facilities to disbursement of arrears without pre-check of fixation of pay would not be available for govt servants who have left service on account of dismissal, resignation, discharge, retirement etc.

Recently the Central government had accepted the 7th Pay Commission’s recommendations without any alteration so as to maintain parity in pay with the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

As per the new recommendations there now on wards increment shall be added on two dates namely, 1st January and 1st July of every year, instead of existing date of 1st July.
