On Saturday, the fifth senior most judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Chelameswar, took a dig at CJI T S Thakur's method of distributing the judicial work among the Supreme Court judges.
Justice Chelameswar stated that he was protesting the absence of provision to record his views on the candidates in writing.
He had further clarified that he would continue to be part of collegium and record his views in writing on the people in the zone of consideration for appointment of the judges.
Justice Chelameswar, at function organized by CAT, in a lighter vein made a comment on the manner in which the cases were being distributed among the judges heading the benches in Supreme Court.
He added that in his entire carrier he had handled only 2 service matter but thanks to CJI he has been now mainly deciding mainly deciding cases relating to service since last one year.
