A Family Court has ordered an estranged wife to not make attempts to remove her daughter from a prominent school in the western part of the city as she is engaged in a custody battle with her husband.

The Court has also ordered the school to not discontinue the minor girl’s admission.

Wife fails to attend Court

“We had filed an application before the Family Court last month knowing that the woman had been making attempts to remove the girl from the school.

“The Court had issued notices to her but she did not turn up. Therefore the court has issued order in our favour,” said Rajeev Rajpurohit, the lawyer for the plaintiff. According to the case details, a highly educated couple has been locked in custody battle over their minor daughter after they separated following a dispute. They had married ten years ago.

Meanwhile, the husband learnt that his estranged wife had been writing mails & resorting to other means to withdraw their daughter’s admission from the school she is presently studying at. So, he filed the plea, urging the Court to issue directions to her & order the school not to issue a school leaving certificate.

He alleges that the girl’s mother was keen on taking her away from Ahmedabad & was therefore asking the school to issue the leaving certificate. After hearing the plea, the Court issued the order.
