CJI Bobde to launch Book authored by SC Justice (Retd.) R Banumathi named 'Judiciary, Judges and the Administration of Justice' tomorrow

Supreme Court has been scheduled for a book launch event tommorow authored by former Supreme Court and Madras High Court Judge, Justice (Retd.) R Banumathi named "Judiciary, Judges and the Administration of Justice".

The launch event has been timed fo 12 noon tomorrow i.e.12th Sept, Saturday.

The event will see Chief Justice of India SA Bobde launching the book and delivering the Presidential address.

First Copy of the book shall be received by Honourable Justice NV Ramana of the Supreme Court bundled with a keynote address by him.

The launch event has also features special addresses by Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Indu Malhotra of the Supreme Court, and Chief Justice DN Patel of the Delhi High Court.

Author SC Justice R Banumathi, who has served the Indian judiciary for more than three decades, has embeded her book with valuable information about the Judiciary and its functioning.

The book "Judiciary, Judges and the Administration of Justice" elaborates upon themes such as ‘independence of judiciary’, ‘judicial accountability’, ‘honesty and integrity’, ‘judicial ethics’, ‘impartiality and conscious objectivity’ and ‘probity of conduct’ required of the Judges.

Inter alia, the book highlights the need for the Judges to be dedicated to the cause of justice and adherence to Constitutional values, transparency and accountability.

It provides readers with a comprehensive view of the accomplishments of the e-courts project, various citizen-centric services and the aggregate data available on the National Judicial Data Grid and their benefits in making the judicial processes more transparent, efficient and accessible.

The book is aimed to be a source of guidance for not only Judges and Lawyers but also Policymakers, Planners, Academicians, Students and various stakeholders associated with the administration of justice.
