Job Description
As a founding member the incumbent will play a crucial role in shaping the legal framework and contributing the mission from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a transformative mission, working with a purpose-driven team in a high-impact and diverse work environment.
Eligibility & Skills
- Law postgraduate having a flair for writing.
- Expertise in civil, sociology, and economic matters including property law (revenue), survey regulations, cooperative, corporate affairs (NCLT), torts, and municipal subjects.
- Proficient in tackling fraudulence, cheating, and general criminal cases with experience in seeking restorative justice and fighting for compensatory relief. Demonstrate legal prowess from the victim’s perspective.
- Well-versed in appearing before courts, tribunals, and commission procedures.
- Ability to accomplish strategic objectives like recovery, injunctions, and arbitration.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Fluency in native Kannada to engage with local public authorities and mastery in English to connect with the regulatory forums and other stakeholders.
- Commitment to ethics, confidentiality, and honesty with the highest value on integrity and privacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Analysis: Delving into legal intricacies, scrutinize titles, review documents, and analyze records with sharp attention to detail.
- Strategic Planning: Strategize the legal course of action in each case, gather actionable intelligence, and achieve set objectives.
- Drafting: Draft case summaries, arguments, plaints, pleadings, petitions, and appeals that resonate with judges and authorities.
- Advocacy : Accurately comprehending facts, constructing legal pleadings with relevant touchpoints and keywords, ensuring consistency, and navigating the judicial process with strategic finesse.
- Curation: Proactively curate content to champion rights at the individual, community, and public interest levels and escalate issues such as anti-corruption, money laundering, and dereliction of public work as an ardent voice of justice.
