The National Commission for Women (NCW) is the statutory body of the Government of India, generally concerned with advising the government on all policy matters affecting women.
It was established on 31 January 1992 under the provisions of the Indian Constitution, as defined in the 1990 National Commission for Women Act
About the Opportunity
National Commission for Women proposes to engage one Coordinator on a contract basis to initiate, evaluate and prepare a report on Capacity Building Programme for Women in Politics.

Roles and Responsibilities
- To conduct seminars/conferences/workshops etc on women-related issues like Gender Budgeting, Gender Sensitization, POSH, Domestic Violence, etc in consultation with Central Agencies.
- To prepare reports of seminars/conferences/workshops etc.
- To review various Acts and make recommendations on enacting fresh legislations/ amendments to the existing provisions, affecting and concerning women.
- To evaluate reports received from Institutions/Organizations etc.
- Knowledge of all Women related schemes of Govt. of India.
- Legal Knowledge with special emphasis on women-related Acts.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: LLB/ MSW/MA (Social Science).
- Experience: 5 years of working experience in Gender related issues.
- Age: Not more than 50 years.
Salary
Rs. 50000/- per month
