About the Position

They are looking for qualified lawyers with relevant PQE of 1-8 years to join our Corporate Commercial & Transaction Team as Associates/Senior Associates.

In this growth-oriented & hands-on role, the candidates would be expected to demonstrate strong technical, commercial & business acumen/ownership.

Qualifications & Experience

Position: Associate – Corporate Commercial & Transactions.
- Location: Chennai (Preference for candidates based in Chennai).
- Experience: 1 to 3 years (PQE).
- Role Overview: The Associate will support the corporate and commercial transactions team in handling advisory, drafting, and transactional matters across a range of clients and sectors.
- Key Responsibilities:
  - Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts (including service agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and supply agreements)
  - Assist in M&A, private equity, and other transactional work, including due diligence and documentation
  - Conduct legal research and prepare notes, opinions, and client advisories.
  - Support senior team members in structuring transactions and managing deal processes.
  - Liaise with clients and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely execution.
- Requirements:
  - LL.B. from a recognized university; enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
  - 1–3 years of relevant experience in a law firm or in-house team.
  - Strong drafting and analytical skills.
  - Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  - Preference for candidates (i) with LLM in relevant subject; and (ii) currently based in Chennai.
Position: Senior Associate – Corporate Commercial & Transactions
- Location: Chennai (Preference for candidates based in Chennai)
- Experience: 4 to 8 years (PQE)
- Role Overview: The Senior Associate will take a lead role in advising on corporate and commercial matters, managing transactions, and mentoring junior team members.
- Key Responsibilities:
  - Independently draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements and transaction documents
  - Lead due diligence exercises and manage end-to-end transactional workflows (M&A, PE/VC investments, joint ventures)
  - Advise clients on corporate law, regulatory compliance, and transaction structuring
  - Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact on matters
  - Supervise and mentor associates
  - Coordinate with external advisors, regulators, and counterparties
- Requirements:
  - LL.B. from a recognized university; enrolled with the Bar Council of India
  - 4–8 years of experience in corporate/commercial practice at a reputed law firm
  - Strong experience in transactional work and contract negotiation
  - Ability to independently handle matters and manage teams
  - Excellent communication and client management skills
  - Preference for candidates (i) with LLM in relevant subject; and (ii) currently based in Chennai
