About Zenith

Zenith Society for Socio-Legal Empowerment is a non-profit organization working on grassroot legal empowerment of Adivasi, Dalit, and other marginalized communities in Madhya Pradesh. 

Zenith works with the community in order to build their capacity in understanding their legal rights, defining their ideas of change, and taking appropriate measures in order to bring a more just and dignified life.

Areas of Work

Interns will be exposed to various legal and socio-legal topics, including but not limited to:

• Litigation, case management, and documentation. 
• Field visits to nearby villages. 
• Research on social welfare laws such as RTI, SC/ST Act, Forest Rights Act, Women safety laws etc.  
• Assisting in designing and conducting training and legal awareness camps

About the Internship

Zenith is opening applications for an internship for students and recent graduates interested in socio-legal work for September/October. The internship will take place at Shivpuri/ Gwalior office offering practical experience in legal empowerment and community engagement.

Eligibility

• Students pursuing or holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in law or social sciences.
• Proficiency in English and preferably in Hindi.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets).
• Resourcefulness, initiative, enthusiasm, and attention to detail.

Stipend

All internships are voluntary and unpaid.

Duration of Internship

The internship is offered for at least 4 weeks and may be extended based on performance and organizational needs.

Application Deadline

Certificate

A certificate of successful completion will be issued to interns who fulfill all assigned tasks and complete the internship duration. Interns who do not complete the required period will not receive a certificate.
