Tension amounts over Indian Doctor missing in the United Kingdom

A UK-based Indian doctor went missing from her home in Herefordshire, West England last week, and has not been seen since.

According to a report, the Police have issued a missing persons report in the area of Bristol-north Somerset, West England for Uma Kulkarni.

The Police believe that she traveled to the Bristol area from her home in Herefordshire.

The Avon and Somerset police.

"She is thought to have traveled into the Avon and Somerset force area as her car - a bronze coloured Toyota Auris - was found near Aust Services near to the Severn Bridge crossing. She normally wears earrings. It is not known what Uma was wearing when she went missing."

Additionally, according to the Avon & Somerset Police website they have described her as an Asian woman, five feet tall with a slim built, black hair and both ears pierced.

According to records accessed by Hindustan Times report, Kulkarni, 42, completed her MBBS in 1999 from Nagpur university, and registered to practice in the United Kingdom in 2015 with the General Medical Council.

There has been no contact from Kulkarni, and the Police have said there is increasing concern for her safety. The Police have issued a notice to the public to come forward with any information on Kulkarni's whereabouts to help the police.

According to their website, the Police have made several inquiries in the surrounding areas. They have also inquired in Severn Bridge, which links England and Wales.

After native UK-trained doctors, doctors that come from India make up the largest country group currently enrolled in the National Health Service (NHS).
