About the Organisers

M K Panduranga Setty Memorial RV Institute of Legal Studies (MKPM RVILS), established in 2018 under the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST), Bengaluru, is affiliated with Karnataka State Law University and approved by the Bar Council of India.

The institution is committed to imparting quality legal education and promoting practical learning through activities such as moot courts, ADR competitions, and research initiatives.

About the Event & Rounds

The 1st National Mediation Competition 2026 aims to promote mediation and negotiation skills among law students by providing practical exposure to Alternative Dispute Resolution.

The competition will consist of the following rounds:

• Preliminary Rounds (2 rounds for each team)
• Quarter-Final Round
• Semi-Final Round
• Final Round

A total of 5 stages will be conducted, progressing from preliminary to championship level based on performance.

Eligibility

• Open to students enrolled in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. courses
• Participants must be from a recognized university/institution approved by the Bar Council of India
• Each team must consist of 3 members (Mediator, Client, and Counsel)
• Only one team per institution is allowed.

Location

The competition will be conducted offline at: M K Panduranga Setty Memorial RV Institute of Legal Studies (MKPM RVILS), Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Registration Details

• Team Cap: Limited to 16 teams (first-come, first-served basis)
• Registration Fee: Rs. 2,500 per team (including GST)
• Rs. 4,000 with accommodation (for non-local participants)

Registration Procedure

• Teams must fill out the Google Form for provisional registration
• Selected teams will receive confirmation via email
• Final registration is completed by submitting the registration form, payment details, and receipt within the deadline

Important Dates

• Inauguration Programme: 14th May 2026
• Quarter Final Round: 15th May 2026
