Shantaram Potdukhe College of Law, Chandrapur, Maharashtra is organising the Multidisciplinary International Seminar on Human Rights and Marginalised Sections: Contemporary Concerns and Challenges.

Sessions and Sub-Themes

Session 1. Inaugural Session: 10 am to 11.30 am

Session 2. 1st Technical Session: 11.30 am to 1.30 pm

Human Rights of Women, Children and the Aged

  • Obligations towards women and children: International and Indian Perceptions
  • Human rights in feminist perspective
  • Immoral Trafficking of Women and Children
  • Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace
  • Human Rights of the Aged and Disabled

LUNCH: 1.30 pm to 2 pm

Session 3: 2nd Technical Session: 2 to 4 pm:

Human Rights of Specific Social Groups

  • The Minorities and Human Rights
  • Status of Indigenous People
  • Human Rights & HIV/ AIDS people
  • Rights of LGBT community
  • Law, Social Transformation and Protection of Human Rights

Session 4: Valedictory Session: 4 to 5-30 pm

Registration Details

The Registration fee for the Seminar is Rs. 700/- (separately for author and co-author) for students, and Rs. 1000/- for academicians/ Lawyers/ Research Scholars. Registration shall be confirmed by e-mail to aejaz2212@gmail.com and by payment of registration fee either by D.D drawn in favour of Principal, Shantaram Potdukhe College of Law, Chandrapur or by NEFT to the Bank of Maharashtra, A/c No. 60313355442, IFSC: MAHB0000618 on or before 20th Feb. 2019.

Call for Papers

Seminar papers are invited from academicians, practitioners, researchers, scholars and students on the issues related to specified themes on or before 20th Feb. 2019. It is also proposed that the selected papers by the Committee will be published in a Book with ISBN No. Only full Papers submitted on or before the deadline shall be considered for the publication. Authors of selected papers would be given an opportunity to present their papers.

Guidelines for Seminar Paper

An abstract should contain 300 –350 words accompanied by a brief profile of the author indicating his email ID, contact number and official address.

Full Paper should not be of more than 5000 words. It must be typed in Times New Roman Font Size 12 on A4 size paper with 1” margin on all sides with 1.5 line spacing using MS Word.

A Uniform Style of Citation must be strictly adhered to while submitting the abstracts and full paper. All the abstracts and full length papers shall be sent on email to aejaz2212@gmail.com.
