Chhattisgarh State legal services authority under the aegis of National legal services authority, New Delhi has launched the E Mega Camp series in all 23 civil districts and 64 talukas on 31 st october, 2020.

The E Mega Camp series was inaugurated by the executive chairman Hon’ble Shri Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra judge High Court of Chhattisgarh in the August presence of Honorable Shri justice Manindra Mohan Srivastava, Judge High Court of
Chhattisgarh and chairman computerization committee and Hon’ble Shri Justice Gautam Bhaduri, Judge High Court
of Chhattisgarh and chairman High Court legal services committee.

The inauguration took place through video conferencing from the conference hall of High court of Chhattisgarh. Apart from above, Sadbhavna series for specially abled persons was also launched on this occasion. Under this series, videos on legal
awareness for specially abled person have been prepared in collaboration of social welfare department of Chhattisgarh.

During the inaugural session, Justice Prashant Mishra has said that SLSA is committed to ensure the access of social justice to all poor and marginalized people of society, therefore, SLSA has come up with E Mega camp series across Chhattisgarh. He has also said that there are so many schemes of NALSA and Government but peoples are not aware about these schemes. By conducting e mega camp across Chhattisgarh, SLSA has tried to spread legal awareness about all welfare schemes and Legislations apart from strengthening the community's access to these schemes and schemes of NALSAs as well.

He also said that one month long campaign will also run, whereby, DLSAs through PLVs shall identify the people having different grievances and their grievances will be registered through helpline number 15100 and NYAY mobile app, which shall, in turn, be sent to concerned departments of Government for necessary redressal.

In his inaugural address, Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastav has said that it is the duty of every Public servant to work for the needy people and through this kind of mega camps needs of the people and their legal problem will definitely be addressed effectively.

In his special address Shri justice Gautam Bhaduri, has said that during the Corona covid-19 pandemic peoples were not able to get the benefits of governments welfare schemes that is why it is a very unique initiative on the part of SLSA to conduct this kind of E Mega camp series across Chhattisgarh.

In an estimate one crore 70 lakhs rupees will be given to the victims under NALSA's new scheme of compensation to rape victims. Under different schemes of Government it is estimated that 7,43,583 peoples will be benefited and Rs 140 crores worth benefits will be distributed to poor and marginalized people of Chhattisgarh.
