In a major move, Link Legal India Law Services (LLILS) Corporate Partner, Manish Gupta, has decided to join IndusLaw in Delhi.

Manish Gupta, who is a 2004 NLIU Bhopal graduate had joined Link Legal in 2015 as a Partner to the firm from Luthra & Luthra, as it then was.

In his tenure in Luthra and Luthra, he served as Managing Associate.

Adding to his achievements, he was overall fifth-ranked dealmaker in our 2018-19 In Legal 50 Corporate dealmakers of the year list, having led on a total of 13 deals, worth $1.6bn.

Talking about Financial Year 2019-20 already, Gupta has been involved in 12 deals with values of $915m so far, for a range of corporates and clients, according to live tables.

Link Legal's Corporate Partner Siddharth Srivastava had previously shuffled to Khaitan & Co.

More updates count for Link Legal making three promotions in its Corporate Commercial practice at the end of 2019, and its Senior Corporate Partner Anand Srivastava had returned to the firm in 2018 after a sabbatical LLM.

What does this joining mean to IndusLaw?

It puts out the clear signals of intent to try to play in the ever-bigger leagues in 2020 as so it created capital markets practice from nowhere late last year.

IndusLaw needs this boost as in 2018-19, it had already snuck into the bottom of the Prestige Corporate Firms tier, only behind to Marquee Firms.

Link Legal Managing Partner Atul Sharma wished 'All the best' to Manish Gupta in his comment.
