Khaitan & Co-Partner and 2006 ILS Pune Graduate Abhishek Sinha has resigned from the firm to start-up an a new learning provider for young lawyers and law students.
Sinha had begun his career at DSK Legal, then moved to AZB & Partners in 2007 and Khaitan & Co in 2009. In 2015, he had joined Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas in Mumbai as a Partner, re-joining Khaitan that same year.
He had also been visiting lecturer at KC Law College between 2008 and 2009.
Sinha told us last week via WhatsApp: “NotJustLex will offer certain specialized moderated classroom programmes and online programmes, with the intent to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and expectations of law firms, corporates, and clients.
“The focus is primarily on participatory learning. It’s a platform for young lawyers and law students. [The] idea is to provide the participants with a distinct professional edge in this competitive corporate environment.”
His resignation will take effect on 31 Aug.
