The Central Government of India has assented to the appointment of three judges as Permanent Judges of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.

The notification issued by Law Ministry notified that “In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint S/Shri (i) Ranjan Sharma, (ii) Bipin Chander Negi, and (iii) Rakesh Kainthla, to be Judges of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, in that order of seniority, with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.”
