The principal seat at Madras and Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, shall remain closed for Summer Vacation starting from May 1, 2021, and continuing till May 31, 2021. The period of Summer Vacation for this year is split into four parts for the purpose of Vacation Court sitting.
The dates relating to filing and sitting arrangements can be read in the attached notification. Court sitting hours will be from 10.30 a.m. to 4.45 p.m. on Court Sitting days (both for the Principal Seat at Madras and Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai).
The method of hearing of cases being followed now in the Madras High Court (both Principal Seat and Madurai Bench) will be applicable for the Summer Vacation Sitting, 2021.

No application should be presented at the residence of the Hon'ble Vacation Judges under any circumstances and no lunch motion will be entertained during the summer vacation.
The Registry (both the Principal Seat at Madras and Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai) will work on all working days during the Summer Vacation 2021 from 10.00 a.m. to 4.45 p.m., except on the Court Sitting days, on which days, the Registry will function from 10.00 a.m. to 5.45 p.m., or till the rising of the Court, whichever is later.
